In order to achieve the Education 2030 Agenda, lifelong learning must govern future global education policy-making.

The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) will offer UIL Research Scholarships to six researchers from UNESCO Member States and/or Associate Member States. The scholarships begin in September and are for a period of one month.
The application period for joining the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC) is now open. Cities from all UNESCO regions can apply to become members of the network from now until 30 April 2019.
