Mandates
Centre of Educational Studies (CES) distinguishes and develops the most perspective trends of educational change by uniting theory and practice with the purpose to foster the implementation of Lifelong Learning into national context at all levels: political, infrastructural, regional, learning service, learning environment and teaching/ learning. The special focus of CES is Adult Education.
Policy Issues
Guidelines for the legitimation of Adult Educator's profession/, 2009; project financed by Lithuanian State Science and Studies Foundation Readiness for Change of Higher Teacher Education Institutions/, 2006. Policy Outcomes
Major scientific outcomes that are used in the development of Lifelong Learning System in Lithuania: Methodological basis for the development of adult education qualification; Functional description of adult educator Methodology for the development of adult education system in national and European contexts Methodology of creation and observation teaching/ learning situations, which foresee zone of proximal development Art expression mean's system, which foresees a practical realization of an integral teaching/learning process and its observation perspective Collection of applied research works, performed by adult practitioners (students seeking master degree in education)
International Activities

CES is a project partner.
