How we work
UIL is a Category 1 UNESCO Institute. It has its own Governing Board and enjoys functional autonomy. With around 40 staff members from more than 20 countries, the Institute is structured around four distinct, but overlapping, areas of work: policy support and capacity development; monitoring and assessment of lifelong learning; knowledge management and communication; and administration and finance. The support and contributions of donors and partners are essential to the development of our work.
